Vacation in Yellowstone

We had a fantastic time in Yellowstone. It was amazing to see the natural beauty and to think that we live so close to the wonders that we seen. We spend 5 nights at the grizzly RV park in West Yellowstone. We spent two whole days in Yellowstone and one day in Virginia City.

One day we made the lower loop and the other day we made the upper loop of Yellowstone. We seen ALOT of animals including a grizzly bear. We spent two day in yellowstone stopping & shopping at EVERY souvenir shop that we could find. Dellis said he thought this was vacation and not a shopping trip.

In Virginia City we seen alot of neat things. We did a family old fashion photo and had ice cream made the old fashion way from a churner...it was yummy. We had a picnic in the rain and got eaten by bugs at the park. On the way back to the camper we stopped and seen alot of beautiful country off the road.

On Doug's birthday (the 17th) we had a BBQ and invited the whole family to eat with us at our camp site. We had cupcakes with sparkler candles. We had a great time. When it was time to go home we were sad and did not to leave we even seriously contemplated staying another night but of course we had alot of obligations at home. We decided that every year we need to spend time in Yellowstone as a family.

Summer Days

Summer is coming and going all too fast. But we are grateful for the warmth. We had a short camping trip to Utah in the new camper and ended up going to Lagoon for the day. We stayed at Cherry Hill for two nights and was wishing that the boys had come with us but they are older and we are no longer cool. While we were gone Dellis had emergency surgery and had his appendix out. He is doing really well waiting patiently to return to work. We had a fantastic 4Th. We went to the Stadium of Fire in Provo UT.....Aubree was super excited to see Hannah Montana. Doug & I went to Wendover the next day and seen Kenny Rogers at the Peppermill Concert Hall, wow for 69 that man can still sing. We are heading to Yellowstone in a couple of days to go camping at the Grizzly RV Park. We are meeting Doug's sister and one of his brothers and there families up there for a fun filled week. We are excited to get away together.
