Christmas 2008

Christmas can't start at our house until Doug gets done with his fabulous and famous Christmas cookies.

We made several plates of goodies to give to some of our friends and neighbors
We had a hard time putting these yummy cookies on the plates........but there was plenty to go around. We also made fudge, chocolate covered pretzels, wedding cookies and butterscotch crisps. The kids voted that we should have at least a years supply of white chocolate covered pretzels.......hmmmm.
We always enjoy when Christine comes to visit. Kolten was explaining to Christine about the preset that he gave to her. When he asked my opinion what to give her of course I said jewelry but he gave her a PSP and games (think that is what that thing is called???) Go figure.

Please Dellis take time out of texting for Christmas presents.....dam kids. It was wonderful to have him home with us for a few days and it was super hard to see him leave again. We are glad that the weather was to where he could make the 8 hour trek here. Man why do they have to grow up???Douggy is sooo helpful . . . . . yep he is setting the table !!! The sweat shirt he is wearing was a present from Aubree....we all voted and we think that it fits his personality perfectly..............(sorry hunny still love ya)
Alot of snacking was going on.
Silly kids, and silly faces.......what a goof ball.
Breakfast was yummy Doug made omelets for everyone.....some people in the house even had two but we will not mention any names.Cleaning up is always a task but with many hands helping it is not such a big deal (nice butt Doug....hahaha got ya)
Kolten loves pictures as much as Monica does...............NO WAY HATE THEM
Aubree's Christmas after math in her room. Guess she was just checking out her loot ???

After a early morning, presents and a full belly some people in the house decided to check there eyelids for holes.

Even the dogs were tired of all the laughing, horse playing and lights. We had a wonderful day together. We played together, eat together and laughed. We had a fantastic day. The boys taught us to play Wii this weekend. What a fun game. We really really missed our Brodie on Christmas day, when we called him he was not about to talk on the phone he was way to busy for something so silly. We hope that all our friends and family had a wonderful holiday season.

Swingin & Singin

Aubree LOVES swing choir. This is one of her funnest classes. They work really hard with alot of extra time BEFORE school. But is pays off in the end. Yeap, that is Aubree right next to the speaker.
This year she had a solo on one of the songs but my camera was put away and I missed that shot....hmmmm imagine that.
In Swing Choir they always do a traveling choir show. They spend one day traveling to different locations and singing. These pictures are taken at the last stop on there Christmas choir concert at Lincoln Elementary.

Wall X-Mas Party

For the past few years the Wall family has had a tradition to have a Wall Family get together the day after Thanksgiving. We have usually met at Mike & Colleen's house and had a nice meal together. The kids LOVE to see and be with each other. The girls do the girl thing and the boys play video games (like there is something else to do duh). This picture is of most of the kids that were there, I carried my camera around all night and right when we were leaving I decided that I needed pictures and by that time Mackenzie & Courtland had left and they are not in the picture....(sorry Mackenzie Aunt Monica is not good with taking pictures like your other Aunt is :-( sorry I will do better next time) Aubree, Shawn, Kolten, BooBoo, Zack, Kamy, Andrew, Mady, Jake Douggy and Mike say there final good bye's. We had a wonderful time together. We had great food and even better company. The Wyoming Wall Gang did not want to make the 3 1/2 hour trip home that night but we did. We always like to be with our families. Family is so important and we are so blessed at this time of year that the weather was good and we could make the trip without all the white stuff. Now that we are home the white stuff can come in bucket fulls.

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was a quiet day at our home. There was four of us and plenty of food. Dellis was not home with us for the first time in 22 years what a shocker. He was in TX at Rio's father (Rio is his G/F her name is Molly but likes to be called Rio). He called us several times and he was having a blast in TX. There was deep frying, 4 wheeling and guns involved with his holiday. He had a fantastic time. We had a nice day laying around the house. We were actually suppose to put up Christmas decorations but that did not happen. But we managed to get our packing done because the next day we headed out for our next adventure. We got up at the crack of 5 took the dogs to the kennel and headed to Utah. We dropped Kolten and Aubree off to Aunt Colleen's and Uncle Mike's house for the night and Doug and I headed to Wendover.
The weather could have not been more perfect. We had tickets to see Wynonna Judd's Christmas concert at the Peppermill Concert Hall. It was FANTASTIC. I have loved her for many years and when I found out in July that she was going to be in Wendover there was no question that I wanted to be there also. We found out how old we were getting when after the concert (about 10 PM) we were so tired we decided to head to the room for much needed sleep. Thank you Doug for making this time together really sweet and special, we had a great time together. We spent the night in Wendover at the Peppermill hotel and headed back to American Fork for the annual Wall Christmas get together on Saturday evening.
