Wahoooo Look Who is 2 !!!

Brodie's mom had a small birthday party at her mom's house for him. It was fantastic to see him again and to see how much he is changing. Brodie was really really excited when he seen his Pa.Brodie LOVED the sunglasses that we bought him for his birthday and loved to sit on the swing with Doug eating chips, hot dogs and drinking Aunt Aubree's juice.
He had alot of presents to open and he did NOT take his sunglasses off for anything.
He got some new sandals for the summer
A silly football . . . . . . wow that is fantastic !!!!!!!!!
And more chips and juice. Check out my dinosaur feet. What a character !!!!!
The first rule of the summer is to NEVER, NEVER let the sunglasses fall off your face no matter what. He was sooo happy. After all his presents were opened he ran around smiling and clapping. It was fantastic to see him so happy.
Yummy cake but holy crap check out my face. . . . . LOL

Him and his birthday cake. His mom made it for him and it had Mr. Incredible on it. He was so cute with it and blew both of his candles out. . . . . One at a time.

Happy birthday little man. We love you very much and hope you are always as happy in your life as you were at your party. We LOVE YOU and can't believe that you are already two. Look out world I am coming !!!!

Another Day in Paradise

We have survived !!! Tax season is officially over but not really? Does that make ANY sense??? Maybe life can get back to some normal? If that is possible for this family. Thanks to my family I am sane. Thanks Doug for all your help I couldn't do it without you, you are my BFF. Dellis and Rio and baby are doing well. They have there own struggles but they will get through it. Kolten gave Christine a promise ring on her birthday. We are REALLY excited and LOVE her very much. They are going to wait to get married until they are both out of school (smart kids). Aubree is in everything that she can think of. . . she is in track, softball, karate, young women's, cheer leading, choir and is still smiling most days at the end of the day. Doug will be having surgery on the 23rd. His left knee is totally giving out. They will be doing the OATS procedure on his left knee. The hardest part will be him is not being able to put weight on his knee for over a month. But we totally trust Dr Kimball and we are looking forward to him not being in CONSTANT pain any more. The rehab is going to be intense but he is committed to feeling better. We know that we are only going to get through this together and with God's help. Family and friends stay in touch and come visit when you can (we will be home for awhile). Be blessed we love you

Brodie came to play again !!!!

Brodie came to spend the day with us last Sunday. It was fantastic. We really missed him and we were so amazed how he has grown and how big he is getting. Man they change so quickly. His grandpa made his favorite mac-n-cheese now that is heaven. He was trying to bribe aunt Aubree to take him for a walk
They walked for a little bit and then seen me across the street taking pictures and he decided he wanted to come back.

Look at all the snow for the first part of March in Rock Springs. They were not even wearing coats. That is crazy.
This is Mr Brodie right before we took him back to his mom. He was mad because he could not go out the back door with the dogs. He will be two on May 11th. Man where has the time gone? When we took him back he did not want to go and put his arms around Dougs neck and said "No Pa", Doug almost cried. We hope to see him again really soon, and love him soooo much.
Dellis and Molly (Rio) came to visit us this weekend for a couple of days. It was fantastic to see him again. I hated that Doug and I had to work and we did not get to spend too much time with him. Aubree was still sick so we put them up in a motel so that Rio would not have any chance catching the virus that Berry had. We are glad that Aubree is finally feeling better. We are so excited that our Adian Gabriel or Hope Audrey will be born on or around September 14th. Man two already. Dellis and Molly are planning to come back out for Easter.

Fun in Park City

For our anniversary/valentines day I decided to surprise Doug with something fun but different. I found a place called the Snowed Inn in Park City Utah. They take you from the ski slope in sleighs pulled by horses to a restaurant for dinner and entertainment. We headed out early on February 22nd for a fun filled day. I took my camera out of my purse when we could see the horses heading down the ski slopes to get us and my battery was too low to take pictures, I almost cried. These pictures are complements of Dougy and his quick thinking and a disposal camera that he found and bought. (Thanks Doug that was really really sweet of you. . . see that is why I love you soooo much you are so thoughtful and kind). This picture is after dinner right before we headed down the mountain back to the truck. We were cold I had a long sleeve shirt, a sweat shirt, a hoodie and a coat and I was still cold. Doug had a long sleeve shirt, a sweat shirt and a coat and he said he was fine but look how red his nose is??? The horses were super friendly check out who the horse is cuddling up too?? Funny

Here is Dougy and four of the sleigh drivers. He makes friends with everyone. The gentlemen behind him is the man that drove our sleigh. They were such super nice people and we had a fantastic time. This was the entertainment he was a really good singer. This is the bar. . . . . we liked how it was all carved out of wood it was really neat looking. This young man was the cook for about 60 people that night. That was the best prime rib and green pepper sauce that I have EVER eaten.

Thank you Doug for the many years of fun and for always loving me through all the good times and the rough times, I know that we will always be there for each other no matter what.. You are my BFF. He was sweet and blew up a couple of these pictures and put them into frames to put in my office. Thanks again Doug I will love you always and forever!!!

New Bike

Hey look what is in our driveway. . . . . . . . . . . . we are SOOOOOO excited. We just bought a brand new 2009 Ultra Classic Harley Davidson motorcycle.

Of course it has to be two of Douggy's favorite colors red and chrome. The actual colors of the bike are fire sun glow red and smokey gold.

These pictures are BEFORE all the extra chrome has been added on to our bike. Do you really think that it would be our bike without TONS of chrome and skulls all over our new toy?

Any one want a ride ? Now we are really praying for SPRING........yahoooooooo.
God has blessed us . . . . . .

24 Years !!!

Today was a special day to us. It was our 24th wedding anniversary. We LOVE to spend time together as a family and we especially love our date nights together. We have spent alot of time together the past three years with Doug's work schedule and LOVE it . . . . sometimes we do absolutely nothing but just be together. In the past 24 years I have learned to love someone unconditionally. I have learned to be more patient and to stop and smell the roses because tomorrow they might not be there for you to smell. Life seems like a constant roller coaster ride at our house. One constant in our lives is our love for each other. We are grateful to God for our three beautiful children that he has given us to love (man it is hard to see them grow up), and we are grateful that God has given us a beautiful, healthy grandson and we are sooo excited to have more on the way (we are WAY to young to be grandparents. . . LOL). I love you Douggy you are my everything. There is not one minute of one day that I don't thank God for bringing you to me. I know that together we can accomplish ANYTHING and I know that whatever hand we are dealt we can get through it together. Happy Anniversary I love you.
Next year for our 25th wedding anniversary we are planning on celebrating it in June or July on an Alaska cruise (after tax season). Doug is so excited to go fishing. I am looking forward to many many many more happy years to come.

Ringing in the New Year !!!!

We had a really fun time on New Years Eve. Doug, Aubree and myself went to a church and eat snacks and played games til midnight. We all had a blast !!! I did not know that Taboo could be soooooo much fun. We laughed so much. Kolten went with Christine and her family and played Kolten's favorite game Risk til way too late o'clock in the AM. We did not ask Dellis what he was up too we called him and he didn't answer his phone until today so who knows? We are glad that 2008 is over !!! It was rough and rugged for our family, but we did it. Doug having three surgeries in one year was almost too much for him but he did it and we are glad he is back to work and feeling a little better. Dellis moving away from home was hard on the whole family especially his mom, but we are happy that he is happy. Kolten graduating from High School and receiving three scholarships was a wonderful accomplishment that we are proud of him for, there has been some stumbles but we know that he can do it. Aubree is growing up way too fast and making everyone run in fifteen different direction at once with her, and Monica has been working hard to keep everyone all together. We are blessed and thankful that our little Brodie is happy and healthy. It is really hard to know that he is many miles away from us but we look forward to his visits this spring. We are blessed to live in a country where we are free to make our own choices but we all know that our freedom is not free. We are grateful for each other, for our health, our jobs and yes even and the dam kids (hahaha). We are grateful that we have loving extended families. We love to spend time together with them when we can. We are happy together and for that we are grateful. Now onto our next adventure that is right around the corner. . . TAX SEASON. . . grrrrrr. Come on 2009 we are ready for ya bring it on !!!! Love ya all :-)
